Hang Tag Layering - what can you put together?
Hang tag layering is a unique concept using more than one tag per item or package to get your idea or message across, espcially useful if you are using the die-cut card stock tags where printing on the back of the tag is not possible, layering two hang tags together can give you the same space and a unique finished look. Simply put, you can achieve any kind of hang tag layering by finding two sizes that nest well together, and through the design process, use both tags to get your message or information across to the customer or recipient. Here are a few example:
Hang tag layering example #1: Heart with Oval Background
The wedding date is printed in an arched text near the bottom of the oval, the heart is printed with the couples names and last name initial. A ribbon stitch punch was used along with silver shear ribbon to tie the tags to the top of the wedding favor boxes. The end product is a favor box with an extra elegant look.

Hang tag layering example #2: Dome-top Rectangles of Different Heights
The wedding date is printed near the bottom of the longest hang tag and on the face of what will be the back hang tag, a popular wedding saying is printed. The top tag catches the eye with a matching design and the wedding couples names. Hang tag layering is an alternative to the typical
folded card type of hang tag. The recipient views a nice initial design, and can lift the top tag to read your message below.

Hang tag layering example #3: Round Hang Tag w/ Scallop Hang Tag
This baby shower favor was tagged with a scallop hang tag (printed mint green with the baby's due date) for the
underneath tag and a slightly smaller round tag on the top. You can put any cute message or information on the underneath tagged, and more needed information on the top tag. Very cute and the possibilities are near limitless.
